Kevin has over 25 years’ experience as a lender, investor, operator and board member in the technology and healthcare arenas. Previously, Kevin was the co-founder and lead partner of the private credit group at Sun Mountain Capital, a Santa Fe, NM based alternative investment manager. At Sun Mountain, Kevin spearheaded the growth capital lending strategy, concentrating on providing funding to expansion-stage technology companies, primarily located in the western United States.
Prior to Sun Mountain, Kevin was a Managing Director at Columbia Pacific Advisors, a Seattle-based alternative investment management firm. At Columbia Pacific Advisors, he co-founded and co-managed Union Bay Capital Partners I, LLC, a private credit fund dedicated to providing growth capital loans to expansion stage technology, healthcare, and business services companies. He served on the investment committee of Union Bay Capital Partners I and represented the fund as an observer to the board of directors at several of their portfolio companies including Miox (sold to Johnson Matthey), Blue Box (sold to IBM), Talyst (sold SwissLog) and Lighthouse eDiscovery (sold to Spire Capital).
Before his time at Columbia Pacific Advisors, he was a Senior Vice President at Comerica Bank in their Technology and Life Sciences practice where he provided growth capital and acquisition financing for technology companies throughout the western United States. Earlier in his career, Kevin served as a General Partner at Northwest Venture Associates, a venture capital firm focused on growth capital investments in the Pacific Northwest and also served in corporate finance roles at Visio Software (sold to Microsoft) and Hewlett Packard.
Kevin holds an MBA from the University of Washington (1994) and a BA in Business Administration from Seattle University (1989).
